Companies such as Bayer Crop Science, Benson Hill, CoverCress and others at the BioResearch and Development Growth (BRDG) Park and the Helix Center incubator are collectively developing solutions to one of the world’s most pressing problems: feeding and fueling a growing population with less environmental impact. In recent years, this challenge has been further exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, drought in the U.S. and war in Ukraine. When combined, these factors threaten global food security.
