
(St. Louis Business Journals) CEO of St. Louis agtech company CoverCress retires

Mike DeCamp, the CEO of St. Louis-based agtech company CoverCress Inc. (CCI) will retire next week. He will be replaced by a “row crop farmer from Central Illinois, with over 30 years of experience leading agricultural innovation companies.”
DeCamp has worked at the oil seed company for five years, and his replacement is Central Illinois seed company founder and former WinField United executive Jim Hedges. DeCamp will retire and Hedges will start on March 17.
“Mike’s work has positioned CCI as a leader in the emerging intermediate oilseeds sector,” Hedges said in a statement. “I’m excited to lead CCI as we embark on this next phase of growth. We are poised to expand our market presence and further develop sustainable agricultural solutions that meet the needs of farmers and enable the production of lower carbon emitting fuels.”
